Euro 2020 postponed until summer 2021

After many speculations, yesterday, after UEFA’s teleconference call with all 55 of Europe’s national football associations, word finally got out: this summer’s European Championship has been postponed until 2021. Also, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League matches are rescheduled to the end of June this summer, as are the European Championship qualifying play-offs, scheduled to begin in March, now provisionally moved to June.

Of course it is not entirely ‘fixed’ that all matches will be played this summer. How long the consequences of corona will last, nobody knows…
