The last four times AC Milan participated in the Champions League

AC Milan in Champions League 2021/22

AC Milan found themselves in the toughest group of the Champions League this season. The Italians had to face Liverpool, Atlético Madrid and Porto in group B. The football players didn't need to inform their family members about their results because those were terrible. A defeat by Atlético and a draw against Porto made sure they ended up on a fourth place in the group. One advantage was that they could utterly focus on the national league and this resulted in winning the Serie A title.

AC Milan in Champions League 2013/14

Clarance Seedorf was trainer of AC Milan in 2013/14. The team consisted of Robinho, Balotelli, El Shaarawy, Kaká, Essien, Nigel de Jong and goal man Abbiati. They ended up in group H with Ajax, Celtic and Barcelona. They won twice in the group stage, lost once and played three draws. These accomplishments were not very impressing, but Seedorf did manage to reach the round of 16 with his club. One great catastrophe followed. They won in a home game against Atlético, but the other game ended in 5-1.

AC Milan in Champions League 2012/13

The group was relatively simple, consisting of Málaga, Zenit, Anderlecht and AC Milan. Despite of that, they obtained a disappointing second place in the rankings. Milan experienced difficulties with all the teams. This resulted in two victories, two draws and two defeats. The great Barcelona was the opponent in the round of 16. The club from Milan won the match with a result of 2-0. The goals were made by Boateng and Muntari, but the return was disastrous. Barcelona was way too strong and won 4-0. Lionel Messi scored two goals this game.
